Hello! Where has our year gone? I keep saying, "Time flies when you're having fun!" We are working
hard to finish the school year strong, and our students are making us proud each day.We registered many kindergarten students at Kindergarten Registration, but we know there are more out there. Please
help us by inviting neighbors of rising kindergarten students to stop by the office as soon as possible to register for school
if they haven't already done so.
Please join Big Red and me on the front
lawn of the school Tuesday, May 18, 6-7:00 PM for "Cookies at Crestview." At this time, we will welcome the 75+
newest members to our Crestview family. We have invited our newly redistricted families from Three Chopt Elementary School
to visit Crestview, enjoy refreshments, tour the school, ask questions, meet Big Red and the Crestview staff, listen to our
hand chime choir perform, and possibly win a prize! Let's show these families what our school is all about, and help them
feel welcome. Afterwards, join us in the café. as our 3rd graders take the stage and perform a musical harmonica concert.
It's that time of year when we extend thanks to everyone who makes our school the wonderful
place that it is! Our school is blessed with supportive parents who provide countless hours of volunteer work, including PTA,
room parents, Talent Show helpers, field trip chaperones, and the list goes on and on. A huge Crestview "Thank You"
goes out to all of our volunteers in appreciation for making a difference in the lives of our students.
We also have an amazing front office staff that gets the job done day in and day out. We would like
to acknowledgement the hard work and dedication of Mrs. LaNeave, Mrs. Brozick, and Mrs. Dickinson, who keep our school running
smoothly always with a kind word and a smile. They are truly amazing! Our Leadership Team, Mrs. Koch and Mrs. Prout, are also
second to none! They help students, teachers, and me on a daily basis. Thank you, ladies!
Last, but not least, I appreciate our teachers who work very hard to plan engaging lessons, promote positive behaviors,
try new techniques, and help our students learn and be successful. I have never worked with such a dedicated and hard-working
group of professionals. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
One final reminder that
it's that time of year where reviewing material and reading each night with your children in preparation for the final
assessments is critical. Thank you for helping our students show us what they have learned, and for allowing us to be a part
of your child's life. At Crestview, everyday is a great day for learning something new!
Fondly,
Mrs. Karen H. Rawlyk, Principal
